Yesterday we celebrated the life of this amazing woman, friend, mother, wife.

I now know that in life, expect the unexpected. Never in a million years did I think that I would be diagnosed with brain cancer. When the doctor told us that it was a grade 4 glioblastoma multiforme, I seriously felt like the life was sucked out of my system. Grade 4 is like stage 4 for all you cancer suave people. The type of tumor I have is only located in the brain and does not metastasize in other areas of the body. Thank God for that. Really, thank you, God.
I took the path commonly travelled with cancer patients. I put trust the doctors, believing that their medical knowledge would take me the distance and save me from myself. I went to every appointment, took every pill prescribed, and completed chemo treatment…
